Folding Hearts Mitchell Family Series Book 2 edition by Jennifer Foor Literature Fiction eBooks

I first read this book 1/11/13 - 1/13/13 and it was just as good the 2nd time around. Tyler Mitchell is my fave & has been since I first read his story. I love how fate plays a role in some relationships. You never know where the love of your life might be. Ty’s happened to be pretty close to him & his family. Colt’s cousin Miranda caught Tyler’s eye. They tried to fight what they were feeling, saying they were just really good friends, but when Miranda had to stay with Ty for a while, things changed. He was there for the birth of her little girl & from then on, loved her like he was her daddy. You could tell they were all meant for each other. Both Ty & Miranda had similar pasts. They both really liked sex & they both had their hearts broken. When Tyler thought he was in love with Van, he really didn’t know what it felt like to be “in love” until he met Miranda. They didn’t want their families finding out either because they would have forbidden them to see each other. The emotions I felt throughout the book were crazy good. Sad, happy, scared, on edge, heartbroken. All of them. I loved how this one ended too. So darn sweet, leaving a huge smile on my face. Can’t wait to re-read the next one.

Folding Hearts Mitchell Family Series Book 2 edition by Jennifer Foor Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

The sequel to Letting Go was just as good. In this book we find out how Ty really feels about loosing Van to his cousin Colt. The only thing that keeps him going is Colt's cousin Miranda's daughter Izzy.(I know that sounds very backwoods of me but..) Ty completely falls in love with this beautiful little girl. Izzy changes everything about Ty including his perspective of women. He cannot imagine his life without her and soon feels the same way about her mother, Miranda.
Miranda is beautiful, sexual, and sensual and unfortunately the whole town knows it. She is in a one way relationship with Izzy's dad Tucker, who is not willing to stop his drinking and illegal work to become a family man. Once Miranda catches him cheating and Tucker admits to never wanting their daughter, she is devastated. Ty is there for her and Izzy but Miranda can only see him as another man that cheats. The closer she becomes to Ty and sees his growing love for her daughter, she can't help but to start to have feelings for him herself. Of course their families forbid them to start any type of relationship but is forced to send Miranda to Ty's farm when Tucker starts threatening her life. Once at the farm, their feelings for each other cannot help but grow into a powerful, all consuming love. This is one of the best sequels and will not disappoint.
I waited a while to review this story because I needed time to absorb my feelings. For some reason this book bothered me. But I couldn't ever put my finger on the reason. I think it was hard for me because of the people Ty and Miranda were. I don't think they're bad people, but like Savanna, I didn't get why Ty could change is cheating ways for Miranda and not Van, who was his high school sweetheart. But I'm now thinking it was because Van wasn't his forever love and Miranda was. Miranda and Ty are so different from who I am is why I think I wasn't as happy with their relationship as many others were. I did love the way Tyler felt about Bella, but I don't think it was realistic. I also had a hard time believing that Tyler's parents would've been so accepting of Miranda and her baby. It was weird. Moms of young men don't tend to want their sons to get involved with women that already have kids. Of course, it does happen in real life, I just don't think moms are that accepting of it immediately. With all that being said, I actually liked the book and can't wait to read the next one. I'm more of a fan of Colt & Savanna at this point. I love Jennifer Foor. She is great at communicating with her fans and giving them what they want. She is also very quick at getting her books out & I really LOVE that)
Ty and Miranda are so perfect for each other. This book has all those forbiddenish love, friends to lovers feelings that I enjoy. There is drama when it comes to exes, but seeing Ty become this man that the readers know he can be, and seeing their love flourish was a treat. I don’t want to spoil it but it was a really good book. Again, it’s an older book, but still a goody. Next we go back to Van and Colt. This family is a fun group, but I also love that they have each other’s backs. 4 Stars #2OCCJD
Probably more like 2 1/2 stars. The second book in the Mitchell Family Series, Ty and Miranda are a hot and sexy couple who find the start to their unexpected relationship due to the connection Ty feels to Miranda's child that he helped to deliver in the back of a car in Book #1. Note -- I don't feel this book would stand alone well. You'd want to read the first book in the series (Letting Go) for things to make sense. Ty's personality change (because honestly, he was an absolute jerk) and his total immediate "love" for baby Izzy seems quite forced to me. A bit creepy even. I realize it's the only way to transition the story in the way the author needs to, so I'll go with it. Hey, I'm a forgiving reader, what can I say? But I do take note of the things that are unbelievable and contrived, and there are many. Again, spelling and grammar errors run rampant. Some good editing would do wonders. The sex scenes are hot and steamy. Love the sexual chemistry. ...However, I just don't love the characters. Ty and Miranda both started out as man-whore and slut, both selfish and juvenile, and I honestly just didn't feel sorry for them for any of the predicaments that they founds themselves in. Ty has definitely improved from Book 1, and he's become likable by the end of the book, but that's about it. I do like his cocky sense of humor. I never developed a fondness for Miranda. Her character development is just lacking to me, therefore she doesn't have many redeeming qualities. Throughout the book, she's still selfish and temperamental, at times acting juvenile for someone who has been through some of the things that she has, and for being someone who had to take on the responsibility of motherhood. Many aspects in the story seemed disjointed and lacking. Other than the sex, I didn't feel that Ty and Miranda truly connected on any other level. My best advice to the author would be to work on character development.
